Company Background

Cohesion is a privately owned company that began in July 1997 as Web Innovations, specialising in internet development and hosting. The company soon realised that the greater usage of the internet came from applying logic and interactivity to create a website that had a high level of functionality. Initial e-commerce websites focused on online stores, however this soon changed as clients began to realise the virtues of galleries, password-protected areas for suppliers and clients, and content management.

Web Innovations kept pace with technology to provide websites that facilitated services to all areas of business, regardless of the type of industry. In February 2000 a decision was made to change the name of the business to Cohesion, to reflect the integrated nature of web and e-commerce sites, and to introduce a range of design, branding and marketing services as Cohesion expanded its range.

Over the past twelve and a half years the internet has seen a raft of changes as internet development settled and formalised itself as a stand-alone industry. Cohesion is able to offer the full range of internet development services, finding solutions for e-commerce, multimedia, software development and of course, both public web development and private intranets/extranets.

Cohesion are current members of the Chamber of Commerce Tauranga Region Inc.
